Wheel bearings PROBLEMS!

I have a 2003 XL-7 and I am in the process of having the wheel bearings replaced for the fourth time!!! The front has been done once and this will be the third time for the rear! By 2003, many of the issues were repaired. However, one of the more common issues is timing chain tensioner failure. This is most common around 30-60K miles. The main symptom is the sound of the chain rubbing on the block during startup. If it sounds like a rapid rumbling or groan sound shortly after begging to move forward, it is more than likely the ABS actuator. She is a bit noisy in the 1G XL-7. My has done it since new. Regards, Ivan Read More...

i am new at this so if i am in the wrong place forgive me i have a 2003 and when i take off about 20 feet i hear almost sounds like a stuck calliper ,drivers side i had it checked out they said it was the abs pump it does sound like its comeing from the abs unit under the hood can anyone give me some info thanks amillion /tattoopat Read More...

V* we traded in on the XL7We purchased a new 2007 Suzuki XL7 Dec 2006. So far we have accumulated about 6000 miles. We have had zero problems. Our overall mileage to date is 18 mpg for city driving and about 22 mpg for highway driving. We have obtained as high as 27 mpg in fairly flat terrain. It is an AWD vehicle. spare tire lock

I have a 2003 XL-7 and blew out a tire. My spare has a locking lug that uses the XL-7 key to secure the spare. Has anyone heard of this or know a manufacturer that does this? The reason I ask is because the genius from AAA that unlocked it, lost the cylinder that actually does the locking, and now I have no way to secure my spare tire. It just sits in the cargo area. Anyone out there have any issues with the AC/Heater sensor going bad? I bought an 03 XL7 and since I bought it (used from a dealer) I have had problems with the heater/AC climate control.   It reads -58 and then the next minute it reads 111 out - can't get the ac/heater to work properly as it thinks its -58 when I want to have the AC on cause its 80 out the heater blows ...
