Porsche Cayenne Prices Paid and Buying Experience

Re: MSRP's [mdellinger]

Good luck with the Turbo...I almost bought it! I believe it only had 28k miles on it and I'm sure it was well maintained at the dealership. The only drawback is that I've heard from other forums NOT to by any Cayenne except 2005 and newer. This one particular Cayenne may just be an exception. Also, if you're looking for an iPod or Bluetooth connection, talk to Eric ... Read More...

Cayenne Tires

If one wants a Cayenne for road racing.... 19 or 20 inch tires are great. For highway or off road... the 18 inch size is more desirable from a ride quality and durability stand point. On my second Cayenne Turbo (2005 from 2004) I immediately put on some Khumo tires which I ran 38,000 miles, yes 38,000, and had about 5/32 left when I took them off because of the noise. ... Re: Porsche service in Wash, DC? [pepperlover]

Frankly, I am surprised to hear the 40k service on a Cayenne is only $1,100 at HBL. I don't own a Cayenne, but the 20k service on my 2005 911S will be in the $750 vicinity and, I believe, the 40k service runs around $1,500 (quoted from Rockville Porsche). I would have thought the Cayenne, with its additional automatic transmission and AWD differential fluids, etc. ... Read More...

Re: Buying a 2008 Cayenne S, help [carartist]

Porsche dealers can vary greatly with respect to their pricing / discounts. When I bought my 911 Cab S in September 2005, all 4 dealers in the DC area offered almost no discounts. It was the new 997 model and even though we were heading into the fall, the Cab version had only been out for 5-6 months. I finally got a PA dealer to agree to a $5k discount on a made to order 2006 ... Read More...

Cayenne Warranty

I have a 2005 Cayenne Turbo with 33k miles and about 17 months left on the warranty (50k/4 years). Where would be the best place to buy a 2 year extension. Can you get this from Porsche? I have read their website and there's not a lot of info?? Thanks Read More...

2007 BMW X5 V6 vs 2008 V6 Cayenne

mso9 re: mess14

most bimmers are redesigned every 7 yrs. porsche's 7 too but they do facelift, hp changes, etc. depends on the model. Cayenne's 4 yrs., Boxster was released on 97 wasn they did changes on hp or headlight lenses, etc. and finally did a redesign on 2005. Same as the Carrera, from 99-01 same body style but changes in hp & some options, 02model year to 04 (996) seems the ... Read More...

Porsche Cayenne Lease Questions

Re: Buy or Lease [revets2]

Hi revets2. Wow, you won't see too many 2005 Porsches out there that are still classified as new vehicles. Porsche Credit doesn't publish a lease program for "new" 2005 models any longer. Perhaps it has some sort of special program that it uses for this sort of situation. If it does, I haven't seen it. You definitely should treat this car as a used vehicle when trying ... Buy or Lease

carman, we are looking at a 2005 Cayenne S with almost 19k mi. and get this...the dealer classifies it as a new car because it was driven by a Porsche exec for demo purposes and has never changed title. any car to me that has 19k mi., pits in the aim dam, scuffs in the back bumper, obvious wear on the metal inner door protectors, and nicks on the console seems used to me. ... Re: Cayenne 2005 in San Diego area [daruom]

Not sure where in IL you're from, but I just traded in my '04 545 for an '04 Cayenne S at Napleton Porsche of Westmont on Ogden Ave.. They were great. The S has 25,000 and is certified so it's under warranty for 6/100,000. I didn't get as much for my 545 as I had hoped, but overall the deal was good, and the S is like new. They are a no pressure dealership, and they have a good ... Read More...
