Nissan Murano Lease Questions

Extending a Lease

Does anyone know the best way to extend a lease? I have a 2005 Nissan Murano w/ a lease ending in October and wanted to extend it another 6 months. Any and all suggestions and experiences shared are greatly appreciated. Best :D Read More...

2003 Nissan Murano CVT (Transmission)

Re: Not just the 03 and 04 models! [browntown]

My CVT transmission also displayed the same Symptoms and at 74K had to have the CVT transmission replaced. Still in the dealer and was informed the motor mounts, 4 ea, need to be replaced also. That will be another $500 with the cost of the trany, $5400. I’m a retired aircraft mechanic and inspector. This would be considered in my trade, a major failure of many components. ... Read More...

I see I'm not alone

I have a 2003 Murano, and as soon as I drove it across the border into Mexico where I now live, the warranty died. In 2005 I had to buy a new alternator for about $400 USD and now it's in the shop again for a new transmission. The car died on the way home, and just wouldn't move. The technician tried to pull it apart, but after two days, he told me that it would be cheaper to ... Read More...

2005 with 68k miles needs new transmission!

OMG - I have been sick to my stomach all week thinking I was the most unlucky person in the world and my Murano was the only one with this problem! Without ANY warning or dash lights, my car just lurched forward pulling into my driveway and then I couldn't drive it again. Towed it to my mechanic who said it was the transmission and no one can work on this model other than ... Read More...

Re: Faulty transmissions & leaky seals [swagner2]

I'm glad I'm not the only unlucky one with bad transmission on the 2003 Nissan Murano. I have 70K miles and for the last month, I've had the same problem all others have reported, press the gas and the car doesn't move for a few seconds then jerks forward. Could be very dangerous when in traffic and trying to change lanes. In fact, I only discovered this problem when ... Read More...

2003 Murano Transmission Problem

Hello Everyone: Someone asked whether there was an attorney out there who owns a 2003 Murano with this problem? Well, I am it! I have the same problem everyone else has. In October of 2007, when the car had about 75,000 miles on it, I was waiting in bumper to bumper traffic when I tried to accelerate and the car did not respond then about five seconds later, it lurched ... Nissan Murano Power Seat Issue

Nissan Murano Power Driver Seat

like others on this site, a 2005 Nissan Murano and the support linkage for the power seat has broke . It lists to the left. As far as I can tell, it is a break in the connection of the back support. Power features work fine. Sounds like Nissan has a design problem. ;) ;) Read More...

2009 Nissan Murano

Looking at the Murano

I'm replacing a much loved but fairly boring 2005 Acura RL. I want a smallish SUV with great nav. I checked the Toyota Highlander (feels too big and looks like a shoebox), Acura RDX (too noisy, a bit cheap looking inside, and too fast (!) with a choppy ride), RX350 (too soft and feminine - I'm guy), BMW X3 (lousy nav and tech), Infinitis (hate the interiors and the EX ... Nissan Murano Maintenance and Repair

Nissan Murano (2005) CVT Fluid Change Frequency

I've been told two conflicting time tables in terms of when I should be changing the CVT fluid on my 2005 Murano. One Nissan dealership says don't bother at 33K miles since I'm a low mileage single driver. The other dealership says they would do a partial change to see what that tells them after that's done AND to determine if in fact a total CVT transmission change ... Read More...

Nissan Murano Power Seat Issue

2005 Nissan Murano-Driver's Side Power Seat

I just returned from my local Nissan dealership having had my 2005 Murano undergo a repair for the same issue you all are discussing. Part number 87450-CA684 was the "offending" part per my invoice. Specifically, my driver's seat was not loose, but all of a sudden would not slide forward on the right side thereby creating a grinding noise and a slight and unnatural ... Read More...
