For the 2009 GL 450 MSRP $66,110. Total Drive off was $1500 which included 1st month, license and doc. Cap cost was $59.2K then with acq fee of $1095 the final gross cap cost was $60.3K. Final monthly of $780/mo + tax on a 39 mo/15k mi per year. I think the dealer did mark up the acquistion fee though. I don't know what the usual Mercedes acquisition fee is. It took several ... i am a mother of 3 little ones (4 y/o, 3, and 10 months old) and need the 3rd row to be quite accessable. just checked out the Mercedes GL450 and loved it. Diesels are a good choice overall. Combining diesel & electric will likely prove to be a real good efficiency solution for the next several years until we can move to all electric or hydrogen cells. These 2 vehicles are good choices, but WAY over priced for what you get. The GL is over the top at $69K. Both need to be priced about $45K to be competitive IMO. Read More...

For me even before I read the article the GL320 was the clear winner. I drove a used one and did not like the way the automatic transmission downshifted when you let off the accelerator pedal. Mercedes will alway have reliability issues. My 2007 GL450 is my 3rd Mercedes. Our 2000 C240 had navigation and moonroof problems that couldn't be fixed. So we traded that in for 2003 S430. Problems with exhaust, catalytic converter, which had to be replaced 2X. Luckily under warranty. Still own it with no other problems yet. Now we have the GL. Bought it in July ... Read More...

I have a '08 GL450 that I purchased in November, now has about 3000 miles on it. This is my first Mercedes and had heard rumors about quality, but I have experienced no issues to date. I traded in a 2003 Escalade to purchase this vehicle, and the Escalade had multiple issues including front end problems with the steering column (a fairly common problem on the Escalade, ...
