2006 Mercedes-Benz E-Class E320 CDI 4dr Sedan (3.2L 6cyl Turbodiesel 5A)
Review
I have had this car for one month and 1300 miles - what a car. I am getting 33 MPG communting to work, great acceleration, great passing down kick at 60 MPH, and I can chirp the tires at a light - what more can you ask for. I traded my GS300 for this car and could not be happier. This car is not your father's diesel
Favorite Features
Nav system, the engine, the mileage, low wind noise, the HK sound system, the handling, and the GREAT acceleration
Suggested Improvements
Better standard leather seats, bigger side mirrors to reduce blind spot. Put this engine in the new R Class, what a winner that would be.

A Perfect Commuter
Vehicle
2006 Mercedes-Benz E-Class E320 CDI 4dr Sedan (3.2L 6cyl Turbodiesel 5A)
Review
My commute is 60 miles of highway against the traffic flow and I fill this CDI up once every two weeks. My 2001 E320 required refill once per week. Composed and comfortable, the integrated iPod system is a delight. Seat comfort is much improved over older models. No clatter or smoke and plenty of low end torque when you apply the right foot. Most passengers won't know it is a diesel till you tell them.
Favorite Features
Wood and chrome trim yield a handsome interior. Don't by a 6-disk CD; get instead the $260 iPod interface cable. Cabin lighting at night is a special touch. A much bigger trunk than earlier E Class models and better heated seats.
Suggested Improvements
The wheel style and size should match the E350. The trunk release in the driver's door is difficult to reach. No "rest" feature in HVAC means returning to a cold cabin in the winter.
Poor driving feel

Review
This is a handsome car but the interior trim is not well thought out. The door sills are a light colored fabric that is impossible to keep clean. They should have trimmed with leather or plastic that could be wiped off. The handling on an uneven road or with a small crosswind is poor. One must continually adjust the steering wheel to keep it on the road. Doesn't compare to my 1992 LS400. It feels like a small light sedan. The DVD furnished with the navigation system is out of date and incomplete. I asked it for the nearest hospital and it directed me to one 77 miles away when there were 3 good ones less than 30 miles away, one within a mile.
Favorite Features
Pretty
Suggested Improvements
Handling, door sills without fabric

Smooth and Quiet
Vehicle
2006 Mercedes-Benz E-Class E350 4dr Sedan (3.5L 6cyl 7A)
Review
Smooth and quiet was my objective in a luxury car due to hearing problems and headaches caused by a fun but loud and harsh sports car. Fotrunately I found what I needed. I would ordinarily not consider a six cylinder, good power and performance with a smooth ride engine, but I tried the E350 and was very pleasantly surprised. In town economy is outstanding.
Favorite Features
Smooth, quiet and powerful V6 engine. Very good standard sound system. Solid feel, beautiful interior
Suggested Improvements
Bluetooth availability, less expensive satellite radio. I wish this car had other than Michelin tires due to terrible past experience with them on other cars. I must admit that after 1500 miles I have not yet had a blowout.
So far so good.

2006 Mercedes-Benz E-Class E350 4MATIC 4dr Sedan AWD (3.5L 6cyl 5A)
Review
I just got my 2006 E350 4Matic and so far, things are going great. I love the power shade, the quality of the standard stereo system, and the integrated 6 disk changer. The 4matic seems to have a little trouble choosing gears but that may by own perception. I love the distinguished look of the car and the maturity level it portrays since I'm only 28 and use the car mostly for business.
Favorite Features
CD changer, power rear shade, all- wheel drive handling, power, looks.
Suggested Improvements
Passenger seat belt warning light goes on even when there's no one in the seat.

2006 Mercedes-Benz E-Class E500 4dr Sedan (5.0L 8cyl 7A)
Review
This is a stellar automobile. It is just short of perfect, but then, nothing is. It has looks and power, comfort and safety. Biggest complaint: Improve the cupholders so that the driver can see and reach his readily. Keyless Go, Parkatron and GPS should be standard equipment.
Favorite Features
Keyless Go, Parka-tron, Satellite radio system, big engine (E-500), busy dashboard is fun but easy
Suggested Improvements
Cup holders for driver. Easier to see and reach and out of the way of elbow.

Review
Snappy performance. Sportscar handling, Nice fuel economy. Bose sound system and satellite radio make for wonderful cruising on a trip.
Favorite Features
New transmission is super. Smooth shifting and superior performance.
Suggested Improvements
Some kind of cushion over the storage area between the front seats. iPod connection should be standard equipment on all Mercedes cars. They are behind the curve in this repect.
My E350
Vehicle
2006 Mercedes-Benz E-Class E350 4dr Sedan (3.5L 6cyl 7A)
Review
This car exceeds my expectations for comfort, performance, and reliability. The 7 speed auto provides great power at any rpm. The 6 cyl engine provides great fuel economy. The car has that solid German feel while remaining comfortable. I especially like the semi active suspension with its three settings. I feel safe when i'm driving this car.
Favorite Features
Navigation, suspension, styling, comfort.
Suggested Improvements
Make it easier to figure out computer settings for many functions and features this car has to offer.
My 6th and the best so far
Vehicle
2006 Mercedes-Benz E-Class E350 4dr Sedan (3.5L 6cyl 7A)
Review
The new E350 represents my sixth Mercedes and absolutely the best so far. I'm a large man and comfort is a major consideration. I've driven in other high line cares and none compare with the head and leg room provided by the Mercedes. In addition the ride in the new car is so quiet that you can barely hear the engine. However once you step on the accelerator be prepared as the power it has is simply incredible. One of the other real benefits is as a big man at 6'4''when I drive the car the person in the back seat isn't jammed in and I don't have to sacrifice by having to move the driver seat up.The cd player puts out a fabulous sound. The trunk space is emense.
Favorite Features
Interior head room and leg room. Engine responsiveness. Gas mileage. The huge trunk. The 6 cd player sound.
Suggested Improvements
I would like to see Mercedes come out with high polished Chrome wheels as standard equipment.
