Review

Overall a fantastic car! The ride is smooth, yet without the disconnected feel. Whatever you do, get vented seats! Navigation kinda dumb sometimes when it comes to choosing the best route. Love the multi-language option. Engine is powerful enough. 7 speed transmission is a disaster. Downshift takes too much time, you really need to floor it to get "instant" shift. I'm used to driving a stick, automatic has always been a drag for me. Gas mileage stinks. I get about 20 avg reading on the highway, vs. advertised 27. Breaks work brilliantly. Sound system has a weird frequency response curve, the louder you make it, the less highs you hear, and the mid sticks out like a sore thumb. Fast!

Favorite Features

Smooth ride. The look. The 3 spoke star on the hood, oh man!

Suggested Improvements

Make better nav controls to rotate and zoom in and out, tilt etc. Improve transmission response. Blue tooth. make xenons standard!

Review

This is my second E class, I had a '98 E320, wish I could get it back. The car is beautiful, rides nice. Radio and CD player failed in first month. Car has been in 4 times for transmission problems, every fix makes it worse. Avoid any Mercedes with the 7speed. My '84 Ford Tempo had a better quality transmission. Car slam shifts between gears. I had to stop drinking coffee on the way to work to stop the stains in the carpet from the spills the car jerks so hard when it shifts. We were about to buy my wife an R class until I found out it had the 7 speed. I am currently considering pursuing Lemon Law remedy. Oh by the way the car doesn't even come with all seasons, I had to spend $1,000 on snows.

Favorite Features

Ride, comfort, color the everest green is beautiful.

Suggested Improvements

MB should start buying its transmissions from Lexus or BMW

Review

I'm on my second new generation E- class, the first one having been a 2003 model, the first year of its new profile. The 2006 now has a 6-speed automatic relative to the previous 4- speeed, and navigation, which was too new and not yet introduced to my previous car. They don't drive like BMWs, but when you drive 60+ miles a day, this is both fun and extremely comfortable, for your passengers too. Gear shifter seems more responsive than before, and that's not just because of the shorter gear ratios.

Favorite Features

Sport package that includes adjustable airbag suspension and exterior skirting. Navigation, panoramic roof, dash design, roof rack fitted to car.

This car is amazing and it is fast for a diesel. The E class is also nice in the interior. The gas mileage is suprising for a Mercedes Benz of any kind, let alone the E class

Review

This Mercedes E350AWD is true "class". We previously owned a BMW 5 series--- truly a great car, but, the Mercedes gives you the feel of more luxury.Yhe 6 cyl engine provides all the power you'll ever need. The interior space is very generous, and the ride is great.

Favorite Features

Our first experience with SAT radio, and a Navigation system---we'll never do without either

Suggested Improvements

We've had this vehicle for about a month---haven't found anything yet I'd improve.

Review

I did a lot of research and realized that the I-6 CDI motor was one for the ages. Iron block, naturally balanced, dependable and durable. I had to purchase a "pre-owned" 2006 since I live in the great state of California. I arrived and I could not be happier. My father has owned many MB cars over the years, this CDI is as close to a perfect car as he and I can imagine. It is the perfect size, seats 5, it has outstanding acceleration and curising speed capability and I got 35 MPG over a 226 mile trip (including several acceleration runs). On that 226 mile trip I used just a smidge over 1/4 of the tank. The range left is 400 miles. I am looking forward to this car for years to come.

Favorite Features

I love the smooth and effortless engine, the acceleration and especially the MPG. The ride is solid with no wind noise whatsoever (.27 cd!). I simply laugh at the hybrids who will face major $$ when their batteries need to be replaced. I will be long gone on my way to 300k miles of MB driving.

Suggested Improvements

The only minor thing I can think of is that the accelerator takes some getting used to. The electronic throttle control is not like the old cable throttle and there is a learning curve for the driver.

Review

I just purchased my new CDI. I had driven older diesel Mercedes so, was familiar with the car. However, I was amazed at how quiet and powerful the new engines are. In addition to the many outstanding qualities of this car, the MPG is incredible. I have gone from 2 tanks per week (Range Rover) to 1 tank per 1 1/2 weeks. What a difference. Way to go Mercedes!

The E350 is the perfect car for those who drive more than 25,000 miles yearly. This E truly lives up to the MB mystique. Fantastic ride, build quality, and exterior styling.

I am a Mercedes enthusiast that has owned models ranging from SL, S and E classes since 1977. I have owned 4 diesels and 8 gas mosels. This is without a doubt, the finest car yet. The speed and torgue is fantastic, actually faster than the E320 gas model. Combine this with fantastic mileage (37 MPG hwy) great handling, impressive interior and exterior design, roomy interior, large trunk and lots of neat features and creature comforts and you have a 10.

Review

This was my second MB (C320 first), after owning 4 BMWs (740, 328, M3, 325), 1 Lexus (GS), and a RRover. I've always loved BMWs because they are fun to drive, but this MB has the cornering, performance and stability I loved in my BMWs plus the gorgeous design, interior comfort and luxury that BMW has been sorely lacking. The car is spacious, both in length and width. The commands are well positioned (seat adjust. on doors) and there are plenty of compartments. Fuel efficiency is fairly superior to an engine of its size. As a woman driver, this car provides m invaluable safety peace of mind; if breakdown occurs, unlimited roadside assistance is a push of a button away.

Favorite Features

4Matic is flawless in NE snow storms, agile performance w/ superb stability, luxurious interior, TelAid (they have remotely opened the car for me twice), Nav, rear window screen, backseat comfort, leg room (husband is 6'3"), SOS and roadside assistance button and other safety features.

Suggested Improvements

Adjustable driver's seat headrest (stuck on upward position), better factory installed windshield wipers (had to replace them, just as w/ C320), improved lumbar support, fold down rear seats should be standard, shld be maintenance free during warranty period.
