What a Lemon
Vehicle
2006 Mercedes-Benz E-Class E350 4dr Sedan (3.5L 6cyl 7A)
Review
Bought it 6/29. At 1000 miles, notification of airbag malfunction. Mercedes tells me not to drive it for safety. 600 miles after it got fixed, another notification of airbag malfunction. Mercedes has too many electrical problems. Never had problems with any of my Japan made cars (Lexus, Infiniti).
Favorite Features
Drives good if there are no electrical problems.
Suggested Improvements
Let Lexus make your electrical circuits and transmission.
Love It!

I don't think I will ever own anything but a Mercedes now! It's the best! Plenty of room for my family. I cannot believe the fuel economy I am getting! The dealership filled up my tank and I drove on that first tank 723 miles. This has so much power, and looks so slick!
Favorite Features
Everything! I love this car!
Suggested Improvements
The only thing I can say is that I wish some of the sedans came with a DVD player installed from the factory.

It Will Save Your Life!
Vehicle
2006 Mercedes-Benz E-Class E320 CDI 4dr Sedan (3.2L 6cyl Turbodiesel 5A)
Review
Faster than a speeding bullet. Finest ride in the world. This Mercedes truly lives up to what the Europeans say: There's Mercedes and then there's the rest. It is safe, quiet. The diesel sounds sexier and quieter than a gas engine, and the turbo makes it faster. I pay 23 cents less a gallon than I do for BMW guzzling Z4 BMW. Buy this car, it will save your soul.
Favorite Features
DVD, navigation, compass. Stereo, satellite radio. Power everything.
Suggested Improvements
Bluetooth. I have it in my Z4.

Nav system is an antique
Vehicle
2006 Mercedes-Benz E-Class E320 CDI 4dr Sedan (3.2L 6cyl Turbodiesel 5A)
Review
The E320 CDI is very fuel efficient and fun to drive, but the transmission has occassional problems. Slipping during takeoff which my dealer says is normal. Styling is rather bland. Seats could stand to be a little more comfortable. The lumbar support should be power and easier to reach. My biggest complaint is the antique nav system. Somebody must have bought these on a $59 closeout. Charging $2900 for this system should be a felony. It's an unbelievably antiquated system with few features, no touch screen, and no voice command. Also there's no bluetooth unless you buy their phone. I own a 2007 Toyota Camry that blows this car away with superior luxury features. Sorry MB, you need to catch up
Favorite Features
The diesel engine is wonderfully built. Kudos.
Suggested Improvements
Start providing a decent nav system and reimburse the folks that got stuck with the current one.

The Best
Vehicle
2006 Mercedes-Benz E-Class E350 4MATIC 4dr Wagon AWD (3.5L 6cyl 5A)
Review
Having owned Mercedes in the past, I just love this vehicle and its looks, performance, and having the 4 matic gives me more peace of mind for safety when driving in the tortential rains in Florida. This is a must have vehicle and price was well worth it.
Favorite Features
The clock, satellite radio, design is sleek and sporty. It catches the eye. Comfortable seats.
Suggested Improvements
I wish it had a storage place for the big Mercedes case that all the books go into. It doesn't fit in the glove box.

Schaller's E350 Review
Vehicle
2006 Mercedes-Benz E-Class E350 4dr Sedan (3.5L 6cyl 7A)
Review
I bought this vehicle, having owned a 2003 BMW 530i which I loved. My wife loved the MB even more so I purchased it for her. I've come to like the MB even more than the BMW primarily because it feels more refined. Even the passenger compartment, although not much larger than the BMW, feels significantly larger. I still think the BMW handles better but the MB is no slouch. I do wish MB had the same no cost (for 4 years) maintenance package the BMW came with. In closing, I would buy the vehicle again!
Favorite Features
The navigation system. I never thought I would use it but have done so all the time on our current 5000 mile vacation. Inga (that's what I call her) has gotten us out of some tough detour/no sign ridden locations with no problem, It's also easy to use.
Suggested Improvements
Same free maintenance package as BMW. I know my oil change/oil filter bill will be at or exceed $100.00

Tomm's E-Class
Vehicle
2006 Mercedes-Benz E-Class E350 4dr Sedan (3.5L 6cyl 7A)
Review
This is my 4th Mercedes and the best so far. The increased horsepower is terrific. The 7-Speed Auto Trans allows me to get the same mileage as I did with my 2003 E300. People love riding in my car and always comment on the smooth ride.
Favorite Features
The integrated phone and hands free calling is the main reason I wanted another Mercedes. I feel safe driving this car.
Suggested Improvements
I suggest seats that can be adjusted to softer. A rear window that can electrically tint darker.

Love to drive my Mercedes
Vehicle
2006 Mercedes-Benz E-Class E350 4MATIC 4dr Sedan AWD (3.5L 6cyl 5A)
Review
I drove my E350 960 miles one way. I got 30.9 miles per gallon. It gave me the pickup I needed to pass at 60 or 70 miles per hour. This car is great. I love it and wouldn't want another car.
Favorite Features
Color, handling, gas mileage, pickup
Suggested Improvements
Need a little more movement in the seat to go up or down, not just forward or backward.

There's a flaw in the stats: mine gets MORE gas mileage: 45 mph. The car rides like a dream but maneuvers like a sports car. Quiet and powerful. I formerly owner a Mercedes diesel 70's model and the problems were: slower than a gas engine, smelly and noisy. Not now: the Turbo Diesel is super fast, doesn't smell, and is quiet as a church mouse. Listen to your doctor: Buy this car! Miami to Atlanta on 1 tank!
Favorite Features
DVD, Satellite radio, handling, gas mileage, ride, power seats, quiet, fast. The best car in the world today!
Suggested Improvements
Lower price? How about a convertible diesel four matic? My dream car.

Three major problems resulting in overnite service: Emergency brake release came completely out of dashboard; could not move vehicle. Harness for seatbags defective and had to be replaced. Starter key went "dead" after 17,000 mi. Could not reset clock for daylight time, nor could three dealer service personnel! Confusing option "sets" on steering wheel. etc etc

Remove significant number of items which are superflous to performance and are computer operated! My l998 E320 was perfect! Wish I had not turned it in!
