A fine all around car
Vehicle
2006 Mercedes-Benz E-Class E500 4MATIC 4dr Wagon AWD (5.0L 8cyl 5A)
Review
We are getting exceptional mileage, 36- 38 on the road and 28-30 around town. Car is exceptionally comfortable, and my wife (who has a bad back) finds the seats the best she has ever been in. It is a great road car, with quiet good looks. We are extremely pleased with no complaints whatsoever.

Can't go wrong
Vehicle
2006 Mercedes-Benz E-Class E350 4dr Sedan (3.5L 6cyl 7A)
Review
This car has made driving fun again. Great handling, firm solid feeling, and an excellent build quality. After driving BMW and Lexus, there was no comparison to the overall driving experience. Better than advertised fuel economy. Only complaint is a some what noisy HVAC system.
Favorite Features
Get the I-Pod interface kit. Able to control all functions from the steering wheel while charging the unit. Excellent sound quality. Nice display in the center of the instrument panel.
Suggested Improvements
Reduce HVAC noise and improve A/C cooling.

Performance & 40mpg. Amazing CDI E320
Vehicle
2006 Mercedes-Benz E-Class E320 CDI 4dr Sedan (3.2L 6cyl Turbodiesel 5A)
Review
An outstanding combination of class, performance, and economy! The E320 CDI has it all. The vehicle is a pleasure to drive. It produces massive torque at below 2000 rpm giving the sense of tremendous acceleration with almost no lag. Cruising with this vehicle at 75-80mph provides a solid feel of the road while producing almost 40mpg. The car loafs along at this speed and you can cruise for 3-4 hours at a time without tiring. The car handles well on country roads as well as interstates. While not a roadster, the car easily handles most curvey roads well. Better handling can be had if you install higher performance tires versus those the car is shipped with.

First Mercedes-Benz

I'm used to the comfortable hohum driving experieces of Japanese cars. For a long time I've driven Lexus, but decided I wanted something fun to drive, comfortable, safe, and powerful. This car fit the description almost perfectly. I got the AWD model for Connecticut's uncertain winters. The car begs to be driven fast. You can fine tune your suspension from comfort to sport which ever you desire. A deterent for German cars seem to be its terrible reliability, so far nothing yet! We'll see how the rest of the year progesses. It's nice to have the only one , the car turns heads all over. The vehicle was equipped with the premium and appearance packages, electric trunk closer, wood steering wheel, and voice control.
Favorite Features
The seats are 1st class. The surplus in power, and the handling is precise. The rare appearence package defines the car and makes it look like nothing else on the road. Heated and ventialted seats, Harman Kardon audio, HID lights with curve illumination, suspension control, steering wheel. The 3 pointed star on the hood! Quietness
Suggested Improvements
Parktronic and Bluetooth Should be standard. Fuel economy is terrible, but it's an AWD V8, what do u expect? Steering is bit heavy at low speeds!

We previosly owned 4 MLs, but it was time for a change. The car is fun to drive. The car has plenty of pick up. The interior space is very generous and the ride is great

Disappointing
Vehicle
2006 Mercedes-Benz E-Class E320 CDI 4dr Sedan (3.2L 6cyl Turbodiesel 5A)

Ive always wanted a Mercedes. To me, they were the epitome of luxury cars. I'm sorry to say I have been terribly disappointed. For what I paid I expected a top of the line vehicle, but got far less than I could have gotten from a new Camry. To start with, the navigation system is very important to me, yet the E320 has no touch screen, no voice command, not even blue tooth (some Japanese economy cars have blue tooth). In fact, the processor is so slow it cant present but a few streets at a time, and has no readable compass in the nav mode. No right arm rest for the driver if you use the cup holder. I could go on but space is limited. I wish I hadnt given up my Camry for this car.

Luxury appointments, Nav system, and especially customer service which I found totally non-responsive, as in ignored my calls, my emails, and even my request to speak to an MB Rep through the dealership I bought from. What's happened to this company?

E350 review
Vehicle
2006 Mercedes-Benz E-Class E350 4dr Sedan (3.5L 6cyl 7A)
Review
Overall very good car. But has some quality issues that I would not expect in a $50k car. Driver seat squeaks (had to take twice to dealership), screws in plate holder became loose. A/C is noisy, fan in auto mode seems stuck in position 5. Had it checked, MB said it was normal. Other than that, is it a comformtable sedan with a spacious trunk. Engine is powerful with great gas mileage. You can easily get 26 MPG in freeway driving.
Favorite Features
Very good gas mileage. Comfortable ride. Quiet cabin.
Suggested Improvements
Noisy A/C, takes time to cool off car. A bit complicated to operate all the gadgets.

What a great car

I never thought I would own a Mercedes. I always felt they were and old person's car. This CDI as a lot of power. I drove from south Jersey to 20 miles from Georgia on one tank of fuel. I bet I could have made it to Georgia. I lease the car and the only way I will not buy it after the lease is if Mercedes puts that motor in its S class.
Favorite Features
The fuel mileage. The ride is soft.
Suggested Improvements
The Nav system. Put this engine in an S-class car. You will have a winner.

1st Mercedes
Vehicle
2006 Mercedes-Benz E-Class E350 4dr Wagon (3.5L 6cyl 7A)
Review
I was skeptical to buy a Mercedes, and felt it may be over priced, but it has been worth the money. Compared to other high end manufacturers, Mercedes drivers recieve the best overall performance and feel of a luxury car.
Favorite Features
The sport version has so much room, I forget its kick other than the drive.
Suggested Improvements
I would add toggle to the steering wheel for navigation like the radio feature.
