A Perfect Car

My ES 330 is the best car I've ever owned. It's incredibly spacious and comfortable, and stylish. The wood trim is the best I've ever seen, I can drive for 10 hours without getting at all uncomfortable, and there's plenty of room to stretch out on long trips. The engine has plenty of power and gets very, very good gas mileage. The ride is super smooth and quiet, even on the freeway. I do all the maintenance and I haven't had a single problem with it. I leased a 2002 ES 300 for 2 years and loved it so much that I traded it in and bought this new one. I would highly recommend ES 330s to anyone; Lexus has truly succeeded in its "passionate pursuit of perfection".

Favorite Features

Rear sunshade, 6-disc in-dash CD changer, leather seats, roomy interior, stylish head and tail lights, outdoor temperature display, wood trim, amazing gas mileage (on a recent trip I averaged 30 mpg!)

Well, it isn't exactly exciting to drive, but I didn't expect it to be.

Excellent Car

Review

I have had other luxury cars and I rate the ES330 better than all of them. The ride is smooth and quiet, power is very adequate for highway and city driving. The seats are very comfortable and sound system is excellent. I can drive five or six hundred miles and do not get overly tired. The only problem that I have had is the transmission hesitating a few times when accelerating. After 21000 miles the car still drives like new. I plan to purchase another one in the future.

Car smells like rotten eggs

Review

Car is beautiful inside and out. However, at 10,000 miles it started smelling like rotten eggs. Lexus says just a product of gas in Oregon; however, not all ES 330's smell which is a mystery, says the dealership. Lexus customer service just says, tough luck. Very frustrated. Dealership hands are tied by Lexus who says they cannot change any parts to try to correct problem if vehicle is running to specs.

Good but had to trade it

Review

We bought the ES a little over a year ago and traded it over a week ago for a sportier car. The ES is an excellent sedan built for comfort and rolling isolation. I just had a change of taste for something sportier and more fun to drive.

Favorite Features

Excellent safety/crash test results, handsomely crafted interior, tomb-quiet (if you like that).

Suggested Improvements

Continues to share basic platform with Toyota Camry, shares 3.3 liter engine with Camry SE, 17 inch wheels should have been standard since 2002 model year, very weak audio system in non- levinson package, Front fascia/grille too similar to Camry.

Review

My Lexus is a joy to drive. The seats and driving position are extremely comfortable on long drives. Fuel economy avg of 23 mpg in mixed driving. Haven't experienced any of the complaints expressed by some on this website. Transmission works well. No pulling. Great Michelin tires (the no cost all season option). You get the most car for the money.

I love this car. It is fun, beautiful, all the luxury you would expect from a lexus. Super smooth. You cant even feel the road. You cant hear the engine, and a very quiet ride. Its a very comfortable ride, plenty of space, front and back. Big trunk. I would recommend this car to anyone.

Everything is well thought out. No problems with most features. Would have preferred audio and climate controls on steering wheel(Noticed that they have done this on the 2005 model). Navigation system has some minor glitches, but over all performs in an adequate manner. Changed tires from Summer to "All Weather. Didn't feel comfortable going on a long trip with seasonal tires. Overall this car rates as god or beter than the three Cadillacs that I have owned previously

Comfortable seats, excellent visibility,outstanding Levenson audio system.

ES 330 Sport Design

Review

This is my second Lexus. I first had the IS 300 and was looking for a car that handled the snow better. So far my ES 330 has not been a disappointment. I feel safe in this car and I also feel that due to the superior braking ability that this car had saved my life. The fuel economy is great considering the weight of the car. The car is also very quiet and solid with no loose parts that rattle when driving. I also love my rear sun shade that keeps the sun glare out of my car when sunny it also keeps my car cool on hot days.

Favorite Features

Quiet, smooth, gas mileage, sun shade, stereo, safety .

Suggested Improvements

Make the car a little more sporty looking and fine tune the handling the car can sometimes feel loose (meaning the steering).

Uses a tad bit more fuel than I thought it would. Has good acceleration, but could use a little more at top end, on ahill.In all it is a joy to drive , seats are comforatable, adjustments OK. I would like turning signal lights on mirrors. I would probably buy another one

The smart ride

Review

This car has a look, styling and feel of a real machine. The driver has everything in perfect position for ease of use. You really have a luxury ride in a sporty car. The seats are extremely comfortable as your body is wrapped inside. The car corners well and excellerates smoothly as use reach high speeds. I like riding it each day. It feels great.

Favorite Features

My favorite feature is the navigation and sound system. They are considered one option. The Mark Levison sound fills the car with crisp sound and is not loud even at high volumns. As far as the navigation it is extremely accurate, showing points of interest including restaurants, and more.

Suggested Improvements

The navigation system although great lacks the ability to adjust the estimate time of arrival as your speed adjusts, and doesn't give the complete route information if it doesn't fit the display. display.
