Why do they do that
Vehicle
2007 Honda Pilot LX 4dr SUV AWD (3.5L 6cyl 5A)
Review
I had been planning on a 2007 CR-V but decided that I should drive a couple others before making a decision. I drove the Pilot and loved the ride and power. I knew then that I was kidding myself into thinking I would be OK with the CR-V acceleration. I picked out an LX. I didn't have much need for the extras that came with the EX. I prefer the cloth interior and it doesn't bother me to insert another cd when I am done listening to one. I am actually more of a talk radio type. I do miss the automatic light shutoff. I have to wonder why Honda would have that feature on the LX Accord and not on the LX Pilot. Exiting the back seat seems clumsy.
Favorite Features
Rear air unit, TPM, safety features. VTX-4 locking feature, although I am not sure I will ever need it from what I have read. I think the ride and maneuverability are great. Instrumentation/gauges layout. I am not big on the digital displays.
Suggested Improvements
Automatic lights off, automatic door locks, privacy glass in rear. I think all three of these features should be standard on any SUV. I would like see a fold down center armrest/cup holder in the 2nd row seat.
You can trust Honda

2007 Honda Pilot EX-L 4dr SUV (3.5L 6cyl 5A)
Review
Great acceleration for an SUV. I traded in a G35 and this has been a great vehicle so far. 90 miles driven and the fuel gauge still hasn't dropped from the full tank mark! Buy the 2WD EX-L - excellent features.
Favorite Features
Standard XM radio, subwoofer standard, variable transmission for fuel economy, quality leather heated front seats.
Suggested Improvements
Dual climate control would be nice at this pricepoint.

New Pilot owner... LOVE this car!

2007 Honda Pilot EX 4dr SUV (3.5L 6cyl 5A)
Review
I've only had my Pilot for 3 days, but I am absolutely sold on Honda now! We looked at all of the midsize SUVs and for the money, this was the best value hands down. I love the fact that all side curtain airbags come standard, and that shoulder belts are available for all passengers, even in the 3rd row. There is virtually no road noise, and it rides like a dream. I just love everything about this vehicle so far! Just waiting to check the mileage... hoping it gets what the sticker says it will. I feel great about having this as our family car - I was sold as soon as I saw the safety ratings. If you are looking for a lot of bang for your buck, test drive the Pilot!
Favorite Features
Steering wheel controls, side curtain airbags on all 3 rows, lots of cupholders and storage, 3rd row seat, shoulder belts for every passenger and extra storage compartment in back.
Suggested Improvements
Steering wheel controls need to be illuminated at night (it really surprised me that they weren't), would be nice if doors unlocked automatically when stopped (or locked automatically when you reach a certain speed). Wishful thinking that running boards should come with the EX trim.

Bad Investment!
Vehicle
2007 Honda Pilot EX 4dr SUV (3.5L 6cyl 5A)
Review
Having a Honda minivan, we thought that the Pilot would be a no-brainer purchase. We were wrong. The mileage is so far off on this SUV that it's criminal. I don't think I broke 11-12 mpg on the highway going 55-60 without any cargo or other passengers. The engine is underpowered if you are driving a vehicle that actually contains passengers. The interior is nice, the sound system is good, and all the guages are nicely layed out. The car comes with very little coverage (which is why Honda Care is so strongly "encouraged." After putting some miles on, I am beginning to hear a lot creaking.
Favorite Features
Audio System, arm rest, leather seats and amount of cargo space.
Suggested Improvements
Better gas mileage. Yeah, it's an SUV, but the sticker claimed that I would get 17 city and 22 highway. That is way off the mark - I mean way off. The car could look a little less "soccer mom," but overall it's a nice suburban design.

Not too crazy about this SUV

Review
The gas mileage is horrible!! I get 13 miles to gal.,not a lead foot. There is a clunking noise in the rear of the car always think I have run over something. co-worker has same model and same problem. dealer states nothing wrong. The build feels cheap. Engine is quiet, has good power.Drivers seat is postioned funny to the steering wheel( cannot explain this correctly, try to put your knee on the steeing wheel). Gas and brake pedal are in weird position also. Cannot wait to trade this vehicle. Cannot use all speakers due to vibration makes sound terrible.Had Toyota Highlander V6 and it was totaled (not by me).gas mileage was 18 in city, and saved my life.Waiting for 08 Highlander to buy.
Favorite Features
quiet engine.
Suggested Improvements
re-design the interior. Make seats comfortable.. better gas mileage!!!Fix noise in the rear.

Poor Fuel Economy
Vehicle
2007 Honda Pilot EX-L 4dr SUV AWD w/Navigation (3.5L 6cyl 5A)
Review
Purchased Pilot March 4, 2007. Getting between 13-16 MPG. Have 1500 miles on it. Carpool friend has a 2005 Pilot also 4WD and same engine size. They get 17 - 22 MPG (and have from day 1). We have the same commute! What has changed? I agree with other reviews - needs auto locking doors, rear door should auto lock if not closed hard enough. Temperature gauge should be on mirror not behind steering wheel.
Favorite Features
Heated leather seats. XM radio.
Suggested Improvements
Outside temperature gauge on mirror. Power tailgate without requiring DVD pkg. Better fuel economy (how about a hybrid?).
No complaints

Suggested Improvements
External audio aux input.
Honda lies about gas consumption.

2007 Honda Pilot LX 4dr SUV AWD (3.5L 6cyl 5A)
Review
This car is totally horrible on gas. Any decent features are totally overshadowed by its hunger for gasoline. Honda told me a bunch of lies about how the fuel consumption will improve, but I drove it for 3000 miles and don't see any improvements. For the curious, I get on average 10-11 MPG and thats both city and highway driving.

Stay away from Hondas, they are not what they used to be.

I have the green interior, it shows some spots. Other than this small item. Love the truck / SUV.
Favorite Features
The best thing about the Pilot is its ability to seat eight adults.
Suggested Improvements
Have an optional front bench seat.
Great car for my daughter
Vehicle
2007 Honda Pilot EX-L 4dr SUV AWD w/Navigation (3.5L 6cyl 5A)
Review
I bought this car for my daughter in college but since she is far away we have been driving it till she gets home. It is an easy car to enjoy the inside is extremly comfortable and easy to locate all devices. The drive is soft but not too soft. It handles well.
Favorite Features
Navigation system is accurate and easy to follow.
Suggested Improvements
Needs improvement in some technology the car was supposed to have no extra options yet it lacks bluetooth tech, as well as MP3 hook-up. I also haven't been able to find as of yet the trip computer.
