2007 Honda Pilot LX 4dr SUV (3.5L 6cyl 5A)
Review
I have owned many fine cars including Infiniti, Toyota, and Mazda. This vehicle tops them all. Very comfortable in long drives, great cargo room, and room for 7 easily. Great economy for size and easy to maintain. Great power when needed and great visibility. The only negative, and it's minor, a slight blind spot when checking traffic from the right due to post angle. Other than that, I rank this SUV as best in class.
Favorite Features
Comfort and economy.
Suggested Improvements
Not sure you can redesign the post that runs from front fender to roof. Causes a slight blind spot due to angle.

Plain Jane? Maybe
Vehicle
2007 Honda Pilot EX-L 4dr SUV w/Navigation (3.5L 6cyl 5A)
Review
I bought my Pilot a few weeks ago after a lengthy search that included other SUVs like the Pathfinder and 4Runner. The price and the Honda name helped me to decide on the Pilot. We bought a new EX-L Pilot with leather and aftermarket navigation. We also purchased a 7x100k extended warranty. I could not be happier with the decision both financially and with the SUV itself. The Pilot runs great, gives decent gas mileage and has more room than I know what to do with. I have always been a car person but now I don't think I can go back. The exterior is somewhat plain and is by no means a head turner but the interior layout and design is excellent. I would recommend this SUV.
Favorite Features
Center console space, separate AC controls in back, folding seats, tinted windows, side airbags, moonroof, interior size.
Suggested Improvements
Auto shut off lights, better gear shifter, more horsepower, little less road noise, rear mud guards s/b standard, cupholders pop out too easily, the key seems to scratch the leather surface around the key hole a bit too much. Automatic trunk open on the key and interior. Just minor stuff.

Fuel Eco not as advertised
Vehicle
2007 Honda Pilot LX 4dr SUV AWD (3.5L 6cyl 5A)
Review
Bought the Pilot a few months ago. Have been pleased with the comfort and standard reliability of the Honda. I know it is an SUV but the fuel economy is horrible. Averaging about 13 in the city. Might as well have a Hummer. Also, rear door does not shut without some force.
Favorite Features
Spacious on the inside. Air conditioning works well.
Suggested Improvements
Needs some fine tuning.

Best in class
Vehicle
2007 Honda Pilot EX-L 4dr SUV AWD w/Navigation (3.5L 6cyl 5A)
Review
Just purchased 2007 Pilot EX-L w/ Nav. The perfect family vehicle w/o sacrificing style and practicality. Gas mileage is acceptable for its class and size, this comming from a previous Civic owner. Overall best value for space and comfort. Decision was based between the Honda Pilot and Toyota Sienna.
Favorite Features
Ultimate list of safety features, fog lights standard, stow and go third row seat. Great seating and comfort for young children. They can look out the windows with straining their necks. It sure beats are we here yet!
Suggested Improvements
Lighted control bottons on steering wheel. Location of wiper control, tired of spraying wiper fluid every time I park.

Best value in mid-size SUV segment
Vehicle
2007 Honda Pilot EX-L 4dr SUV AWD w/Rear Entertainment System (3.5L 6cyl 5A)
Review
I have owned my Pilot for a few weeks now and have not been disappointed. Gas mileage is acceptable for SUV - getting no worse than previous minivan while providing a very comfortable ride. Compared to '08 Nissan Pathfinder and '07 Saturn Outlook, the Pilot can be purchased for thousands less when comparably equipped while giving the owner a very handsome trade-in value down the road. Vehicle has excellent fit and finish both inside and out.
Favorite Features
DVD system for the kids, available 4WD, layout and lighting of gauges, plenty of safety features, versatility of fold flat 60/40 split 2nd and 3rd rows, Honda reliability and low ownership costs.
Suggested Improvements
MP3 input jack, lighted control buttons on steering wheel, dual zone ac/heat, memory positions for seats and mirrors, a little less road noise in the cabin.

Fog Lights anyone?
Vehicle
2007 Honda Pilot EX-L 4dr SUV (3.5L 6cyl 5A)
Review
This has been a great vehicle for us. Enough room for our stuff and our dog and still room for the additional family member coming in about 7 months. But look out if you have to replace certain parts. $275 fog light assembly plus 1 hour labor to remove the entire bumper cover because the fog light was hit with a rock. Hopefully insurance will cover, but what if it had just burned out? $400 for a lightbulb? Sad that such a great car has such poor design qualities.
Favorite Features
Suggested Improvements
More room for the driver's legs. V8 option.

Pilot . . . good choice!

2007 Honda Pilot LX 4dr SUV (3.5L 6cyl 5A)
Review
First SUV and what a winner. Wanted to go cheaper and needed cargo space, so I just went with the FWD. I've had it for 2 months. Fun to drive. Step on the gas and you are flying, if need to. A little wider in the garage than I am used to. I'm reading all these reviews on the poor mileage and my ride to work, with mixed stop and go and some highway, I'm getting 20 MPG. Doesn't like the road trips with with higher speeds. Only 23 MPG, even with that ECO feature that shuts down three cylinders. Good looking vehicle.
Favorite Features
Acceleration is great. Roomy 2nd row, leg and head room. Love the heater and A/C for keeping people comfortable in back. Third row lays flat and out of site. Lot's of cargo space. Air bags all over the place, if needed. Seems like a sturdy vehicle.
Suggested Improvements
Daytime running lights and auto lights at dusk should be standard equipment. White Outline Letter tires would good. Has nice side trim on the doors but what about fender guards with out having to purchase rubber fender flares as an accessory. Grocery store jerks already creased fender above wheel.

Excellent Midsize SUV
Vehicle
2007 Honda Pilot EX-L 4dr SUV AWD w/Navigation (3.5L 6cyl 5A)
Review
I spent a lot of time looking at all the SUV in the 25-35k price range and went to look at each of them. The Honda Pilot EX-L with Navi has them all beat. The car is extremely solid and is very roomy. So far I have owned it for a week and I love it. It drives like a car but has the functionality of a SUV. To own a fully loaded SUV for under $30000 (sticker price $36,000) is amazing. It comes with all the cool gadget as Lexus -$15,000 price tag. It is truly worth the money and will keep its value over the years.

Engine, XM radio, rear camera

Review
My 1st SUV and probably last since I am a "car-guy", but needed this for family reasons for a few years. The airflow over the front fascia is such that every insect within 5 miles will splatter on your windshield. I've had more splats on my windshield in the past 10 months than I've had in 30+ years of driving. Windex, scouring pads and I have become very close!
Favorite Features
Curtain air bags surrounds all the passengers,
Suggested Improvements
Lights on the sterring wheel controls for night use. Different front design. Better audio. Trip computer with elapsed time. Tire choice. Upgrade the windshield wipers - these are probably from 1980 Civic

Great mileage for an outstanding SUV
Vehicle
2007 Honda Pilot EX-L 4dr SUV (3.5L 6cyl 5A)
Review
With 1K miles on it now, I'm positive I made the right decision getting the Pilot. I'm not sure why all the negative posts about mileage. It's an SUV folks. They all get poor mileage but the Pilot is amoung the best in class. On a 450 mile trip, I averaged 22.9 mpg cruising at 70 mph. My old Grand Cherokee wouldn't even come close with its antiquated inline 6. I bought this with gas prices over $3 per gallon knowing full well it wasn't going to be cheap to run. For those wanting better mileage, get a Civic. We were only considering Subaru / Toyota / Honda SUV's when we were shopping. The Honda had the best combination of features vs. price point.
Favorite Features
Fit and finish are top notch. Very little road noise. Seats are very comfortable. High safety ratings. I'll say it again, mileage is very good for an SUV!
Suggested Improvements
Illuminated steering wheel controls. A split, fold down tailgate so you can stand on it to get at the top of the vehicle. Lower price point on navigation system to stay competitive with aftermarket systems which have come down so much in price.
