The current STS is not selling well. It is smaller than the car it replaced, and that reminds me of 1986, when Cadillac replaced the bustleback Seville, which was a big car that was popular and sold well, with a much smaller European-inspired car. Cadillac is still much closer to the German makes in product panache than Infiniti, even with missteps. Cadillac does not have an intelligent key in their Escalade, nor a folding flat 3rd row seat, not even a push button start. The Escalade saved Cadillac and may put them where they need to be if they spend a little more and do a few key things to bring this vehicle up to date. They need intelligent key, Nissan has been using this among their vehicles since 2004, Cadillac is a luxury brand they need to incoporate it into all of their vehicles. I am an owner of a 2004 "Out of the Blue" blue Escalade EXT. I always receive so many comments from other young men and women on the styling and the color. I am afraid to say that I am disappointed too in the new 2007 exterior styling. It looks like a gussied up Mercury Mountaineer, definitely NOT "a good thing"! Well 50k+ people in 2004 liked the Escalade. So what if the dash is bad, it sells. "Also, why is the analog clock located so low on the dash?" Hey just look at down at the clock and you will see the time! Folding rear seats are not available in the LX470, the Range does even have a third row. And many others don't either so don't diss the Cadillac. REAL people buying these ... Read More...

Steve, I sure had interest in the 2003 Escalade ESV last year but I decided to keep my Mercedes ML500 another year. I even thought about the 2004, but now, the 2005's are here and the body style will change soon.
