2007 Cadillac CTS Road Test Ratings

Not Cadillac's finest, the CTS sedan receives low marks because of its poorly designed interior and substandard materials. The CTS was last tested in 2006.

The base 2.8-liter engine is underpowered, while the optional 3.6 is quite strong. Either can be fitted to a 6-speed manual transmission. Braking and handling competent, but not above expectations for the segment.

The seats are soft and accomodating. The ride is smooth and comfortable, but not particularly quiet.

The controls are not well laid-out, especially on the center stack. Below par.

The striking exterior design is let down by an overstyled interior dotted with below average materials.
