Re: Only one question for this thread.... [dandrews1]
Agreed... We haven't even seen the pre-production version of the 2008 CTS set to debut at the Detroit Auto Show next year. The above statements read as if someone believed Lutz, Wagoner and co. hook, line, and sinker when they said that the new CTS will turn GM around. An inline V6 with turbo and all the fancy gadgets and gizmos would only serve to make the CTS competitive ... Read More...
Re: Only one question for this thread.... [kdshapiro]
You're living in the future. That's okay. You believe Caddy is going to do great things in two years. Yep. :D Do you think people shopping a 335 are going to buy a CTS-V? I don't. Within 2 years they will cross-shop em'. Then their will be a gut check of do I want the badge or the new champ ? :P People shopping an M3 or M5 aren't going there either. A person who can afford an ... Read More...
Re: Only one question for this thread.... [kdshapiro]
Got it. So what car in here appeals to you and why? You can have the Detroit torque, I'm way past that. I want a quality drive with the Detroit torque, unfortunately I can't afford a Bugatti. For 2007' I'd say the most appealing entry lux cars on the market are the G35, BMW 335i, Lexus IS 350, Acura TL Type-S, and yes a CTS, and thats about covers it, right ? Why do I like ... Re: More Caddy vs BMW [rockylee]
Rocky, we all know you are one big domestic (especially GM) lover but this is getting outrageous. Cadillac dominates the Luxury SUV market by a landslide, that's not being competitive ? Caddy total truck sales: 2004: 92269 2005: 74143 BMW total truck sales: 2004: 69829 2005: 68367 Lexus total truck sales: 2004: 151797 2005: 151669 If by that you meant Caddy dominates ... Re: 2007 CTS + CTS-V order guides [rayainsw]
Based on the CTS order guide I would say that there will be no new CTS for 2007, rather another upgrade of the 2003 car. I hope there will be the following new features when Cadillac finally upgrades the car: tire monitor as standard, available rear backup alarm, or camera for navigation equipped cars, tilt and telescope wheel or adjustable foot pedals. Looks like it's "get it on" time for this unit. Click here for larger picture Photo credit: Chris Doane for Brenda Priddy & Company Though we'd hardly consider the Cadillac CTS V-Series ordinary, its clear this version is well beyond that performance CTS. We last encountered the CTS Super V in testing at the Nürburgring (Spied: Super V!, May 31, 2004), but this ... Read More...
2007 CTS
I spoke with the PR person at the NY car show, he stated that Cadillac has not requested a press conference with his office, which means that the car will NOT be debuted at the show. He suggested that I call Cadillac, which I did and spoke to a very nice woman, who told me that the 2007 will go into production appox. May 7th 2006, I asked her if she knew if it was either a continuation ... Read More...
