Re: 2006 BMW X5 4.4 1st Gear Slows Down [suv800]
William, I have a 2005 X5 4.4 with the same problem. There seems to be some issue with transitioning between 1st and second gears after stops. We brought it into the shop three times, they reprogrammed the computer twice and of course it did not help. Has anyone else had this problem and know how to fix it? Thanks Read More...
Re: 3.0 X5 2007 Front Seats Too Hard [dianeg]
I have been driving a 2007 X5 with active contour seats and the ventilation package since December 2006. The contour seats are extremely comfortable. I specifically ordered these seats because I had them in other BMWs and loved them. Note the following: 1. The contour/comfort seats have better NHTSA safety and whiplash ratings than the base BMW seats. The contour ... Read More...
Re: freddybb by ms09 [ms09] [anon3]
Actually anon3, I (freddybb) did not write that comment about the orange color of the instrument clusters in BMWs. That was written by ms09 in response to my earlier post. I agree with you about the visibility of the orange color and I actually very much like it in both my 2006 530xi and my wife's 2007 X5. We have now put about 2500 miles on our 2007 X5 and, barring the ... Read More...
Re: Brand New 2007 X5 Honeymoon Is Over! [freddybb]by ms09 [ms09] [tcn2k]
This is freddybb again -- BMW of NA did leave a voicemail for me yesterday. Have called them back but not heard again from them. In response to tcn2k's comment that "BMWs are amazing" -- surprisingly, I agree! I do love the 2007 X5 we have AND I would buy it again! Is that very surprising after the experience with my 2006 530xi and the 2007 X5? Maybe. But the point of my ... Read More...
Brand New 2007 X5 Honeymoon Is Over!
My wife and I purchased a brand new 2007 BMW X5 a few weeks ago because they finally came out with a seven seater (we have three kids). The first couple of weeks were great. We loved the X5 -- it was great fun to drive, very versatile and well designed, the Head-Up Display is awesome, etc. etc. Then, the honeymoon suddenly was over! A host of electrical, software and ... Re: Lease Info. for 2006 X5 4.4 [back2bmw]
Hi back2bmw. Most dealers that I have spoken with don't have many, if any 2006 X5s left in inventory. If you want to lease one, you probably will have to go with a 2007 model. As other community members have recently mentioned, BMW is not currently providing any sort of lease support on the 2007 X5. As a result, if you were to lease one through BMW Financial Services ... Re: Anyone have Lease numbers? [tenet1]
Hi tenet1. BMW Financial Services' current buy rate lease money factor and residual value for a 24 month lease of a 2006 X5 3.0 with 15,000 miles per year are .00185 and 67%, respectively. When negotiating your lease on this truck, keep in mind that BMW is providing $2,500 dealer cash on it. This cash will help you to negotiate an attractive capitalized cost for ... Read More...
Re: X5 3.0 incentives? [h2fan]
Yes, h2fan, the dealer cash that BMW is providing on the 2006 X5 is available on purchases and leases. Specifically, it currently has $2,500 dealer cash on the '06 X5 3.0i, $3,000 on the 4.4i, and $4,000 on the 4.8is. I do not personally follow CPO incentives very closely. In general, manufacturers sometimes offer special leases on CPO vehicles, but they rarely ... Read More...
