Hi, I went to a dealer in Macon GA yesterday and was quoted $42K+ to buy a 2008 RL Tech Package with 6K miles on it. It was an owner demonstrator and their argument for what I thought was a high price was that the car had never been titled, so it was a "new" car. I have a 2002 RL with nav but the navigation dvd appears to be outdated although it has been working since new from 9/2001. I went to my local Acura dealership (East Brunswick, NJ) to buy an up-to-dated dvd but was told nothing in stock (they don't carry this item at all). There have been a lot of folks that have paid around 41-42K for a 50K MSRP 2008 RL. The few subtle changes Acura has made cannot possibly make folks want to pay 8-9K more for it. The way I see it, the TL-SHAWD is just about the same size now. The rear leg room, which a lot of people look at, is now identical. This is a major disappointment. Even though I swear I read somewhere that the 2009 RL would offer more room in the rear. Just the other day, I received an e-mail from Acura and one of the improvements touted was increased rear leg room. This despite the brochure I received earlier which listed all specs, including rear leg room that was exactly the same as the 2008. ... Read More...

Hi kki000. Acura paid off its dealers $4,000 dealer cash for any remaining 2008 RLs that they had left in inventory back in July. You can still lease one through Honda Finance if you can find one, but you will have to use its standard lease program. I am getting semi serious about a used Acura RL in the 2005 - 2008 range. 2005s certified are now being priced mid to high 20s which is attractive. There seem to be a lot coming off lease now. I do not see as many 2006, 2007 or 2008s. Any sense which is the best year? Will the bulk of used 2006s be available in a year? And used 2007s are year after that? Should I concerned about ...
